Our Services
Depending on the individual service-level agreement, our services contain direct communication with the mobile operator. Metrilog also sources the most suitable SIM cards for each application. All units are already shipped with an integrated SIM card. All communication costs are calculated in advance and invoiced as a flat rate directly from Metrilog.
Based on the comprehensive features for monitoring, the Metrilog system allows for quick and efficient diagnosis in case of any component disturbances within the system.

Metrilog M2M Gateway
The Metrilog M2M Gateway provides:
- Standard interfaces like XML, SOAP, Web Services
- Interface protocols to legacy and proprietary systems (optional)
- Pre-defined service level agreements (SLAs)
- Independency from structural and protocol changes at the wireless provider's premises
- Separation between data transfer and data processing
- Additional backup of user data
- Private APN's (on demand)
Upon request, Metrilog can also offer support in developing your own backend application.

- Setting of required measuring intervals. Retrieval of different sensors connected to a Metrilog IoT device can be set individually. For example sensor data from one sensor is retrieved every minute, sensor data from another sensor every 15 minutes.
- Setting of required data transmission intervals. Data transmission intervals are also free-configurable through the end-user. Data from each individual sensor can be transmitted in pre-defined intervals.
- Multiple assignment of different APN's from different providers possible
- Simple creation of customer specific templates
- Management of all registered devices and sensors
- Time zone settings
- Central point of cost and performance control
- Central management of user and permission settings
Data retrieval intervals of the stored data are selectable. Data from individual sensors or devices can be requested in different intervals, as soon as they are stored on the Gateway. Data retrieval is done with standard protocols like Web Services, SOAP, HTTP or addUPI*.
For client implementation, Metrilog offers a free WSDL. For further information please contact us.
* addUPIis a trademark of Adcon Telemetry GmbH
- By means of our APIs (web services, SOAP or addUPI*) you can retrieve the data for further processing into your existing visualization application
- By using the free 'Instruments' Java application.
- We will gladly support our customers in developing more possibilities for data visualization (e.g. dashboards, statistics). For further information, please contact us.
* addUPI is an open-source protocol of Adcon Telemetry GmbH
Availability
Please note that we do not have any influence on outages or malfunctions on the mobile operator's side.
Therefore, all numbers displayed below exclusively refer to the performance of the Metrilog IoT Gateway.

Cellular Operators
Cost efficient data transmission
Metrilog's system is carrier-independent, and the remote units can be operated virtually world-wide, as long as cellular coverage is available. Our devices work with GPRS, UMTS, WCDMA and LTE communication standards. Using these technologies provides relatively high data transmission rates (compared to other wireless technologies) and simultaneously keeps cost low because invoice is based on the amount of data transferred.
Metrilog offers SIM card administration, data traffic invoicing and rate negotiation with different cellular providers. Therefore, the customer gets only one invoice for all services including the cost of communication. All costs for the respective application are calculated in advance and invoiced at a flat-rate in either quarterly, bi-annual or yearly periods.

Service Packages
Metrilog has developed partnerships with various cellular operators to essentially reduce efforts usually taken care of by the end-user. The devices and SIM Cards are already pre-registered at the Metrilog M2M gateway and when you start using our units they automatically are routed to the Gateway to get their individual pre-configured settings. For constant monitoring of the devices Metrilog offers different service packages.

Firmware
We constantly improve the functionality of our units by ongoing development. Standard improvements are included in the monthly service flat rate. If you need special implementations or extensions of the firmware, please contact us.Templates
Customer specific templates can be created anytime and will be invoiced separately. If you need additional templates, please directly contact our Support-Team.Protocols
Manufacturers of different sensors and devices sometimes use proprietary protocols, not all of them are based upon open standards. To make it easy for you to connect any sensor or device without limitation, we can implement your customer specific protocols into our RTUs. For more details, please contact us.Service packages
